Sisko and O’Brien are trapped on a planet where gadgets just don’t work.
My idea of hell, by the way.
It’s a very predictable plot – of course the charismatic, cult-like leader is the one behind the original crash, etc etc. It’s pretty well done, and the show does a reasonably good job with the shades of grey about her views. But my distaste for any ‘back to basics’ thinking stopped me from ever being on her side.
There are some good ‘stubborn Sisko’ moments, but the rescue plot is pure filler, and the rest of the episode pretty much comes in at par.
310 down, 427 to go.
