Dr Bashir tries to cure a Jem’Hadar punishment plague.
The first real Bashir character piece in a while – he doesn’t get very many, either. Here we finally deal with his biggest flaw, his arrogance. But while there’s a nice bit in the middle where he questions himself, I got the impression that by the end of the episode he was, in a sense, more arrogant than ever – only I can cure this.
The show flirted with the idea of dealing with assisted suicide, but never really engaged with the issue. Addressing it all was fairly bold, especially to do so in a fairly morally ambiguous way. But Babylon 5 covered a similar problem much more strongly back in its first season.
424 down, 313 to go.
